The Graphic Designer is responsible for securing that graphic standards in the IKEA store are consistent with IKEA manuals. This includes planning and executing graphic solutions in-store to communicate product features effectively. A key aspect of the role is supporting store sales through well-planned graphics in cooperation with sales and logistics departments. The designer must ensure that all visuals align with IKEA's brand identity while staying abreast of competitor activities and market trends to continually improve store presentations.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure the appropriate projection and adherence to the IKEA Trade Name & Word mark as per the IKEA Trademark Manual and Company Policy
Plan and execute high-level graphic solutions by showcasing IKEA product features and solutions throughout in-store areas
Conduct daily and weekly checks on the implementation and application of graphic displays to ensure they meet standards and accurate translations
Collaborate with Sales and in-store logistics to plan and implement graphic solutions supporting store sales targets and activity calendar
Implement graphic communication solutions such as notice boards, signage, and posters in sales support and non-customer areas to uphold IKEA standards
Plan and execute changes to graphic solutions per instructions from the Graphic Communication Leader to align with the store's commercial activities
Develop a profound understanding of Graphic Com-In, using IKEA manuals, ideas, guidelines, and the toolbox for updates to enhance competencies
Stay informed about competitors’ activities, local market trends, and customer communications to boost IKEA customer awareness in-store
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Interior Designing or Architecture
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Communication & Interior Design department of IKEA stores
Skills in using sign-making equipment and experience with MacIntosh graphic software
Familiarity with IKEA manuals, ideas, and toolbox for continual skill improvement
Proficiency in using Macintosh graphic software and sign-making equipment
Strong customer focus and ability to maintain high store standards
Capability for continuous improvement and personal leadership
