Graphic Communication Co-worker

• Using graphic design skills, the IKEA Concept and IKEA visual and copy identity to create and implement graphic solutions
• Applying knowledge and understanding of people’s life a home and their buying behaviour to improve graphic communication
• Using graphic communication competence to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity
• Actively contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business
• Plan, implement and evaluate store communication
• Actively contribute to developing, implementing and evaluating store communication strategies
• Respect routines and responsibilities, work together with the Com&In team and other functions
• Secure visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost-efficiency and sustainability
• Stay up to date with knowledge about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends
• Keep visitors in mind and minimise disruption when working on the shop floor

• Experience of using graphic design software and production tools
• Education in graphic communication design, media and typography
• Passionate about home furnishing solutions that improve people's life at home
• Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills
• Ability to work together with others in a team
• Confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations
• Flexible hands-on approach to responsibilities and an ability to meet set deadlines
• Ability to visualise and present ideas
• Proficiency in design software such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Portfolio submission is required
• Major in Graphic Design or Visual Communication Design (Preferred)
