Job Description

A nonprofit organization is seeking a Grants Manager to lead and manage all aspects of the grant lifecycle. This role requires strong experience in securing funding, managing compliance, and overseeing reporting processes. The ideal candidate brings a strategic approach to grant development and can operate independently.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead grant strategy, including identifying and prioritizing funding opportunities
  • Write, prepare, and submit complex grant proposals for public and private funding sources
  • Manage the full grant lifecycle from application through award and closeout
  • Oversee compliance, reporting requirements, and audit readiness
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders and partners
  • Collaborate with leadership and program teams to align funding with organizational goals
  • Track grant performance, budgets, and deliverables
  • Implement and improve grant management systems and processes

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of grant writing/management experience within a nonprofit
  • Proven track record of successfully securing and managing grants
  • Strong knowledge of grant compliance, reporting, and funding regulations
  • Experience with federal, state, and foundation grants
  • Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects
  • Proficiency in grant management systems and Microsoft Office
