Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated individual to join the Grants Team, where you will contribute to the delivery of multi-million-pound, innovative funding packages to support and develop the UK seafood industry. This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team as we prepare for long term growth in support for the seafood sector.

Job Responsibility

  • Proactively manage a diverse portfolio of grant projects in line with scheme rules and regulations
  • Manage your caseload effectively, maintaining all systems and spreadsheets accurately
  • Compile, verify and report data accurately
  • Complete forms and reports
  • Liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with scheme rules/regulations and make consistent, robust recommendations on grant applications
  • Prepare routine correspondence and check the accuracy of documentation from others
  • Develop strong customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Communicate key messages, milestones and timeframes to project leads
  • Contribute to scheme reporting, including commitment and spend updates
  • Attend meetings and represent the Grants Team

Requirements

  • Must be able to commute to Newcastle
  • Must be able to provide valid Right to Work documents including photo ID

  • Conduct ongoing community needs assessments to determine best resource allocation and service delivery

  • Provide supervision, technical assistance, mentoring and training to both paid victim services employees (must supervise at least two (2) Victim Services employees) and victim services volunteers

  • May author, manager and/or monitor VOCA grant proposals and active grants including reporting to the MADD Mission Support Center

  • Identify and coordinate contacts with state resources available to victims such as contacts in the criminal justice system, social welfare agencies, and support groups
