Job Description:

A growing entrepreneurial and mission-driven nonprofit is seeking an experienced Grant Writer to provide support on an as-needed basis. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time, remote role. The Grant Writer will be responsible for reviewing grant opportunities, assessing their viability, writing grant proposals, and collaborating with the Executive Director.

Job Responsibility:

Identify and review grant opportunities, determining their relevance and viability for the organization to pursue
Write compelling and tailored grant applications that align with the nonprofit’s mission and objectives
Collaborate with the Executive Director to review and finalize grant proposals
Compile, organize, and submit requested documents within grant application portals
Maintain accurate documentation of grant applications and deadlines through consistent communication and record-keeping

Requirements:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Prior grant writing experience with a proven track record of success
Familiarity with Washington State (WA) grants and organizations
Proficiency with technology and the ability to quickly learn new online portals for grant submission processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Nice to have:

A passion for nonprofit work and its impact on community development
Basic knowledge of financial documents, such as profit and loss statements and expense reports
