Job Description

Frontier Regional School District is seeking a qualified Grant and Special Fund Accountant to provide support to the Business Office and Director of Business Administration in all aspects of the district’s grants and special fund management. The Grant and Special Fund Accountant provides comprehensive financial management and oversight for federal, state, and private grant awards. This position ensures strict compliance with state, federal, and local policies and regulations. The Grant and Special Fund Accountant serves as a primary point of contact for grant-related fiscal matters, supporting administrators and other leadership in the accurate accounting, reporting, and reconciliation of grants and special funds. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the District’s fiscal integrity and audit readiness by ensuring the proper receipt of revenues, allocation of expenditures, timely submission of reports, and proactive resolution of discrepancies.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide support to the Business Office and Director of Business Administration in all aspects of the district’s grants and special fund management
  • Provide comprehensive financial management and oversight for federal, state, and private grant awards
  • Ensure strict compliance with state, federal, and local policies and regulations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for grant-related fiscal matters
  • Support administrators and other leadership in accurate accounting, reporting, and reconciliation of grants and special funds
  • Maintain the District’s fiscal integrity and audit readiness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/business administration required
  • Comparable experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of fund/governmental accounting, computers, payroll systems, and municipal law.
