Job Description:

The role involves maintaining and managing grant compliance, managing complex budgets, providing executive-level administrative support, and conducting procurement. The Grant and Financial Administrator will also be responsible for managing grant applications and contracts, providing training and mentoring, and participating in external meetings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee a compliant internal financial system, ensuring funds tracking, funding source compliance, and procurement verification
  • Manage complex budgets with multiple funding sources in line with federal, state and local policies and requirements
  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Health Director and Deputy Director
  • Conduct procurement processes, including high value goods and requests for proposals, qualifications, quotes and more
  • Manage Grants and Contracts Matrix, advising relevant parties of expiring grants/contracts and sending report due reminders
  • Compile and submit competitive grant applications in compliance with funding sources and local requirements and policies
  • Administer grants comprehensively and compliantly, including tracking applications, reviewing and assisting with executing awards, and conducting start-up meetings
  • Assist with the development, infrastructure, workflow and management of new programs and services
  • Manage fee-for-service and revenue generating contracts and programs, monitoring revenue and expenses, and ensuring compliance with contracts/agreements
  • Provide training and mentoring for staff and contracted providers as needed
  • Participate in external meetings, conference calls, conferences and similar, representing the department as needed
  • Maintain the Safety Manual and coordinate and document Safety Meetings

Requirements:

  • 2 or 4 year degree in finance, accounting, nonprofit management, or related is strongly preferred
