Job Description

We are looking for a Grant Analyst to support a non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California through a Long-term Contract assignment. This position will focus on identifying funding opportunities, preparing competitive grant submissions, and helping maintain strong compliance practices across awarded funds. The ideal candidate brings a detail-oriented approach, strong written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to keep grant activity on track.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify and evaluate grant opportunities from public and private funding sources that align with the organization’s mission and program priorities
  • Prepare complete grant packages, including proposals, supporting documentation, and budget details, while managing submission timelines effectively
  • Write compelling funding narratives that incorporate program outcomes, supporting data, and organizational priorities
  • Maintain a centralized schedule for proposal due dates, reporting milestones, and renewal deadlines to ensure timely follow-through
  • Review awarded grants to confirm adherence to sponsor requirements, funding conditions, and applicable regulations
  • Produce accurate progress reports and other required updates for funders within established deadlines
  • Partner with finance and program teams to monitor grant spending and confirm expenses remain consistent with approved budgets
  • Keep detailed grant records and documentation organized to support audits, internal reviews, and ongoing reporting needs
  • Communicate grant status, compliance concerns, and potential funding risks to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that strengthen grant administration, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, nonprofit management, public administration, finance, or a related field
  • an advanced degree is preferred
  • At least 2+ years of experience in grant administration, grant writing, proposal development, or a related function
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate complex submissions with strong attention to detail
  • Strong writing and editing skills with experience preparing formal proposals, reports, or narrative-driven documentation
  • Working knowledge of grant compliance standards, budget tracking, and recordkeeping practices
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and gather information from program, finance, and leadership teams
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet, document management, and general office software used to track grants and reporting activities
