Job Responsibility:
Oversee grant accounting activities, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies
Prepare and submit accurate, timely financial reports for grants
Monitor grant budgets, track expenditures, and ensure alignment with grant guidelines
Reconcile grant‑related accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed
Assist with invoice preparation and timely submission to funding agencies
Partner with program managers and internal stakeholders to ensure proper allocation of grant resources
Conduct regular audits and reviews to support grant compliance and financial accuracy
Support new grant proposals with financial planning and budget development
Utilize Excel and proprietary accounting systems to manage financial data
Occasionally travel to member programs and local offices within Pennsylvania
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail
Proven experience in grant accounting, particularly within nonprofit organizations
Strong knowledge of government grant regulations and funding processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Ability to reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies
Willingness to travel locally as needed for grant-related activities
Understanding of trauma-informed practices and sensitivity to working in challenging environment
