Job Description:

This role is ideal for an individual with strong state and federal grant billing experience, project administration, and grant accounting. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate billing, budget monitoring, and compliance with state and federal grants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the creation of progress invoices for cost-reimbursable projects, ensuring accuracy in labor charges, direct expenses, and subcontractor costs
  • Prepare precise time-and-material invoices, adhering to contract requirements and client billing standards
  • Conduct monthly reviews and reconciliations of project costs to capture all billable transactions
  • Analyze contract terms to determine billing protocols, allowable expenses, and required documentation
  • Monitor accounts receivable for assigned projects, supporting collection efforts and addressing billing concerns
  • Collaborate with project managers to track budget compliance and funding agreement adherence
  • Act as the financial point of contact for sub-agreements, ensuring contract compliance
  • Investigate budget discrepancies, manage financial adjustments, and oversee project closeout processes
  • Review and analyze grant agreements and invoices to ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies
  • Coordinate grant invoicing and draw submissions with accuracy and timeliness

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state accounting standards, including familiarity with cost accounting principles
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and understand contracts related to deliverables and outcomes
  • Excellent verbal, written, and analytical communication skills
