Job Description

This long-term contract position is ideal for individuals with experience in grant management and fund administration, particularly within the non-profit sector. The role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, maintaining accurate records, and analyzing data to support the organization's mission.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and oversee grant-related financial transactions, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and organizational policies
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records and reports, including fund administration and NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial data related to government grants
  • Utilize software such as Abila MIP, Blackbaud, and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT to manage financial records and reports
  • Conduct audits and reviews of grant expenditures to ensure proper allocation of funds
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support for grant applications
  • Train and assist staff in understanding grant management processes and compliance requirements
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial data related to grants and funding
  • Support the preparation of financial documents for audits and external reviews
  • Stay updated on changes in grant regulations and financial compliance requirements

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in grant accounting, fund administration, or a related financial role
  • Proficiency in using financial software such as Abila MIP, Blackbaud, and Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT
  • Strong understanding of government grants and compliance regulations
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required
