Job Description:

In conjunction with the Location Manager, assure the smooth and efficient operations of the facility.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee daily operations
  • Schedule and direct workflow of employees
  • Assist with supervisor duties including interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • planning, assigning, and directing work
  • appraising performance
  • rewarding and disciplining employees
  • addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist with weighing, probing and grading of grain both inbound and outbound
  • Develop understanding of grain accounting software system
  • Enter scale tickets, contracts and other documents into grain accounting software system
  • Manage material handling, storage, transport and equipment for delivery of products
  • Assist with recording of daily safety checks for operations
  • Load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products safely on/off trucks, trailers, and/or railcars
  • Oversee maintenance of location equipment, grounds and facility
  • Schedule maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain inventory of parts for repairs and maintenance
  • Assure proper safety procedures are being followed
  • Work extended hours as business conditions warrant
  • Attend all required meetings and training programs
  • Coordinate with Location Manager, Safety Coordinator, and other management to assure profitability and safety
  • Adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures
  • Adhere to EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof
  • 2 or more years of related work experience

  • Help manage all inbound and outbound grain shipments by truck and rail
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and equipment condition
  • Maintain the general appearance of the facilities including the elevator, buildings, vehicles, grounds and other company property
