Drive safe, efficient grain operations that support the success of our soybean crush facility. As a Grain Control Room Superintendent, you will lead daily production activities, oversee control room and stevedore teams, and coordinate rail, barge, blending, drying, and vessel operations to keep product moving smoothly. You will optimize inventory, storage capacity, and dispatch performance while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Job Responsibility
Develop and implement the daily production plan, including inbound/outbound organization, rail/barge unloading, binning, blending, drying, and vessel coordination
Supervise and collaborate with Control Room Operators and Stevedores to maximize grain and by-product handling
Effectively manage grain movement through Chesapeake to maximize facility efficiency, revenue generation and meet internal/external customer needs
Support and verify that Shift Superintendents, Control Room Operators, and Stevedores follow production plans and operate efficiently
Effectively monitor and manage the quality and inventory of products through implementation of the facility Inventory Control Program
Provide leadership for the safety program to ensure safe working conditions for all associates
Ensure compliance with GIPSA/USDA grain handling and warehousing regulations
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (Agriculture, Business, or Logistics), or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
Knowledge of grain handling/storage facility operations and technologies
Knowledge of USDA Grain Standards for Domestic and Export operations
Knowledge of rail, truck, barge and vessel logistics
Employee relations experience
Required to travel to remote Agribusiness facilities and customer locations
