Job Responsibility:
Working as part of Agile teams, collaborating on requirements, cybersecurity operations, software development and architecture
Aiding the design for secure new systems and solutions for implementation into live service delivery
Working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver security outcomes
Supporting the maintenance and optimisation of security tools and platforms
Learning from and supporting senior consultants, while contributing to internal projects, reports and bid support
Documenting incidents, investigations and actions taken through detailed tickets, reports and case studies to support others
Learning from and supporting senior consultants, while contributing to internal projects, technical reports and bid support
Helping with internal applications, projects and practice development where possible
Requirements:
Industry-related Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field) or equivalent experience
Some experience in software development, using Python, Java or .NET (or related technologies)
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken word with an ability to successfully engage with team members and clients
Problem solving and analytical skills
Willingness to continually learn
An understanding of networking security concepts (VPN, Encryption, IDS, IPS, Firewalls, DDOS Mitigation, etc.)
Familiarity with various operating systems and cloud platforms (Windows, Linux, Azure, AWS), and common cyber-attack techniques
Nice to have:
Some understanding of DevOps technologies would be beneficial
Familiarity and experience with UK Information Security Standards is not essential, but desirable
Some understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies, is desirable but not essential
