Job Description:

Graduate Teaching Assistant role for those interested in teaching but not ready for PGCE or SCITT. Offers paid teacher training, outstanding leadership, and development opportunities. Work in South East London Secondary Schools with like-minded graduates. Opportunity to train to teach from September 2026 on salaried teacher training SCITT.

Job Responsibility:

Support students across Key Stages (KS3, KS4, KS5) 1-2-1 and in small groups
Run interventions, academic booster sessions and revision sessions
Support students in chosen subject specialism
Support students with mild to moderate SEN i.e. Autism, Speech and Language, SEMH etc
Full classroom support alongside qualified class teachers

Requirements:

Graduate with 1st Class or 2:1 degree
Strong A Levels and GCSEs across the board - especially in chosen subject specialism
Evident passion for inspiring young people
General understanding of potential routes into teaching
Resilience, Can-Do Attitude & Positive Demeanour

Nice to have:

Tutoring experience
Mentoring experience
Summer camps experience
Childcare experience
