EdEx are exclusively partnered with 3 South East London Secondary Schools. Each school is looking for high-achieving graduates, who are keen to embark on teacher training, but want hands-on experience in schools before taking the plunge. Graduate Teaching Assistant roles start in November 2025 and are guaranteed for one full academic year, with the potential to transition to salaried teacher training from November 2026. Roles involve supporting students across Key Stages in interventions, academic booster sessions, and with mild to moderate SEN needs alongside classroom support.
Job Responsibility:
Support students across Key Stages (KS3, KS4, KS5) 1-2-1 and in small groups running interventions, academic booster session and revision sessions
Support students in your chosen subject specialism (any subjects like English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Social Sciences, Languages)
Support students with mild to moderate SEN i.e. Autism, Speech and Language, SEMH etc
Full classroom support alongside qualified class teachers and exceptional leaders
Requirements:
A graduate, 1st Class or 2:1
Strong A Levels and GCSEs across the board – especially in your chosen subject specialism
An evident passion for inspiring young people – this must come across during interview
A general understanding of potential routes into teaching – but you don’t need to know everything
Resilience, Can-Do Attitude & Positive Demeanour – Teaching and Teaching Assistant roles are tough, but rewarding
Nice to have:
Experience like tutoring, mentoring, summer camps or childcare is a bonus but not essential

Work Monday to Friday, School Hours Typically 8am – 4pm (no weekends)
