Job Description

Pink Tile Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bognor Regis to recruit a Graduate Teacher of Design and Technology for a September start. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about Design and Technology and eager to inspire young people. Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement
  • Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their academic and personal development
  • Foster creativity, problem-solving skills, innovation, and practical design skills within Design and Technology
  • Support students in developing technical knowledge, design processes, and safe workshop practices
  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school community
  • Engage with ongoing professional development opportunities
  • Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times

Requirements

  • GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics
  • A-Level grades with a combined minimum of BCC, including at least a Grade B in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related subject
  • A 2:2 degree or above in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Architecture, or a closely related subject
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or similar setting is desirable
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
