Stantec are seeking a talented Sustainability Engineering Graduate to join our Buildings team in Brisbane.

Job Responsibility

  • Help clients define their sustainability ambitions and translate them into practical actions
  • Support clients to understand climate change risks and plan for resilience
  • Work on large and complex projects
  • Navigate trade-offs between competing sustainability priorities, delivery constraints, and project objectives
  • Help projects meet or exceed energy-efficiency performance requirements
  • Deliver sustainability assessments for industry frameworks
  • Research emerging sustainability initiatives, trends, and policies, and apply insights to project design and delivery

Requirements

  • Australian Citizen, PR or NZ Citizen
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation
  • Hold (or are working towards) a bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, architecture, environmental science, or a related field
  • Excellent communicator
  • Motivated, positive and hardworking
  • Able to problem-solve and distil complex information
  • Experience with, or an understanding of, how projects in the built environment are delivered
  • Strong interest in sustainability and knowledge in some areas: Climate resilience, Building science, Energy and carbon concepts and simulation, Data analysis and interpretation, Circularity, Sustainability rating tools (e.g., Green Star, NABERS)
  • Driven to achieve, demonstrate personal leadership
