This is a limited availability position for LSA graduate students. The course is AAS 254 - The History and Evolution of Hip Hop. The course examines the emergence, growth, and changing character of Hip Hop culture over its forty year history.
Job Responsibility:
Attend all lectures and all assigned discussion sections
Be at lectures on time
Attend and be prepared for weekly planning meetings
Complete tasks assigned by instructor on time
Grade all assignments and examinations
Compute final grades
Provide feedback to students
Post regular weekly office hours and be at the location specified for office hours on time and for the duration
Set up equipment for lectures if necessary
Keep attendance records for the class
Keep a careful record of student grades
Be ready to assume responsibilities beginning August 31, 2026
Requirements:
Familiarity with and course work at the graduate level dealing with the general subject matter of the course
Evidence of effective teaching
Ability to work well with students from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds
Graduate student in good standing in their degree program
For Terms I and II, must be registered for not less than six (6) credit hours (with written approval of the student's faculty advisor, five (5) credit hours may be acceptable)
