We are seeking experienced support staff for children that have social, emotional, mental health needs (SEMH). Affinity Workforce work with a number of schools across East London who are in need of individuals to work 1:1 and in small group sessions with pupils who may have experienced trauma; have mental health issues and a variety of other needs which can be displayed through behaviour.
Job Responsibility
Provide a unique and comfortable learning environment for the individual
Work 1:1 and in small group sessions with pupils who may have experienced trauma, have mental health issues and a variety of other needs
Promote learning socially and developing relationships with peers
Requirements
Previous experience of this kind would be advantageous
Open to teaching assistants/councillors/psychology graduates who would like to develop their knowledge
Can offer previous experience with mental health in a supporting capacity
A knowledge or understanding of SEN/SEMH
A confident approach to working with children
An educational background
An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
