Job Description:

EdEx is hiring Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants to work in an All-Through school in North London starting September 2025. The role focuses on supporting children with special educational needs and provides opportunities to gain valuable experience for careers in psychology and education.

Job Responsibility:

Work with various SEN cases including ASD, SP&L, SEMH, Behaviour, GDD
Support children 1-2-1 and in small group interventions
Work alongside Class Teachers, Senior Leaders and SENCOs
Utilize sensory rooms for specialized interventions
Exposure to external agencies such as Social Workers and Educational Psychologists
Work with children on EHCPs
Receive on-the-job training like Safeguarding and Autism Awareness.

Requirements:

Graduate or soon to be in a relevant subject, Psychology isn’t essential
Predicted or Final grade 1st Class or 2:1
Genuine interest in working with and supporting young people/children
Previous experience such as tutoring, summer camps, nannying, babysitting, support worker
Professional or personal SEN/Disability experience
Resilience, get up and go personality and a wicked sense of humour
Strong A-Levels and GCSEs
Ambitious mindset.
