Job Description:

Graduate Pharmacy Interns play a critical role in supporting pharmacy teams at CVS Health. They will apply pharmacy school knowledge to real-world practice while completing a comprehensive training program to prepare for a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team, contributing to patient experiences, maintaining inventory, and understanding compliance standards.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation
contributing to positive patient experiences
offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
maintaining self-awareness and providing coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
completing basic inventory activities
remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs
understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
ability to become immunization certified
proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
