Job Description:

As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic learning from pharmacy school and pharmacy practice into real-world practice to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap, deepen your knowledge of pharmacy operations, and contribute to a safe and inclusive workplace. Key responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team, providing exemplary patient care, maintaining operational accuracy, and delivering additional health care services where allowable by law.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history to provide optimal care under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities as permitted by law
Remaining flexible for both scheduling and business needs
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations
Delivering additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, etc.), where allowable by law

Requirements:

PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
