Western Health are currently seeking applications for the 2027 Graduate Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) Program at both Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s and Bacchus Marsh campuses. Western Health has an excellent reputation for providing Graduate Midwives and Nurses with a smooth transition to practice from student to Registered Midwife. The Graduate MGP Program, in its first year, offers early career support within the Midwifery Group Practice Model at Western Health caring for consumers within this model across the continuum of pregnancy care. Graduates have the opportunity to participate in the Grad + Program in their 2nd year, undertaking two theoretical postgraduate equivalent subjects and options for additional rotations. This program is offered at 80 hours per fortnight, with intakes from February to July 2027.

Must be eligible to apply via Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV)
Must be graduating as a Registered Midwife in 2026
Must not have completed a previous graduate program
Must be eligible to work as a Registered Midwife in Australia
Must be registered with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife prior to commencement
