Job Responsibility:

  • Perform specialist mechanical design and engineering in support of the integration of equipment and systems on naval vessels
  • Provide mechanical engineering support and guidance within whole of ship design teams involving all technical disciplines of Naval Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical and Combat Systems integration
  • Undertake engineering projects from engineering investigations, through design concepts and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) interaction, all the way through preliminary and detail design to production implementation and customer acceptance
  • Represent the company on a professional and technical basis with our Defence/Navy clients, with our customers within the defence Industry and with the broader Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and system supplier community

Requirements:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of designing mechanical and marine components and systems
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Well-developed problem diagnosis and solving skills
  • Effective time management skills and strong attention to detail
  • The motivation and drive to develop your technical capabilities within a highly supportive, multi-discipline engineering environment
  • Australian Citizen to be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance
