Our IT department assist the wider office with technical queries and building systems and platforms require for the successful maintenance and evolution of the business. We are looking to add a Graduate IT Desktop Support Engineer to this busy team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting in providing a first point of contact for colleagues through our helpdesk ticketing system, Freshservice
  • Providing technical assistance to users with desktop/laptop-related issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Providing colleagues with general remote support & troubleshooting
  • Daily review, processing and resolution help desk tickets and service requests
  • Ensure that documentation of procedures, guides is well maintained and updated when required for desktop support and security procedures
  • Performing routine maintenance on desktop systems, including software updates and patching
  • Ensuring that users adhere to security policies and procedures & that devices are compliant
  • Assisting with our remote monitoring dashboard and applying remediation actions as indicated by our processes, other team members, or as required
  • Reviewing scheduled tasks, backup testing and other automated actions as indicated by processes and other team members

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • An understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services
  • Strong desire and commitment to continued learning and personal development
  • Be self-motivated to develop a strong understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems
  • Have a supportive nature and good team-playing mentality
  • Be capable of working towards KPIs
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced and in a high-pressured environment
