We are looking to add a Graduate IT Desktop Support Engineer to this busy team.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting in providing a first point of contact for colleagues through our helpdesk ticketing system, Freshservice
Providing technical assistance to users with desktop/laptop-related issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity
Providing colleagues with general remote support & troubleshooting
Daily review, processing and resolution help desk tickets and service requests
Ensure that documentation of procedures, guides is well maintained and updated when required for desktop support and security procedures
Performing routine maintenance on desktop systems, including software updates and patching
Ensuring that users adhere to security policies and procedures & that devices are compliant
Assisting with our remote monitoring dashboard and applying remediation actions as indicated by our processes, other team members, or as required
Reviewing scheduled tasks, backup testing and other automated actions as indicated by processes and other team members
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
An understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services
Strong desire and commitment to continued learning and personal development
Be self-motivated to develop a strong understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems and network systems
Have a supportive nature and good team-playing mentality
Be capable of working towards KPIs
Have excellent communication skills
Able to work in a fast paced and in a high-pressured environment
