You'll be working in the office alongside an experienced team who handle the accounting and tax work for UK trusts. As you learn, you'll gradually take on tasks such as supporting trustees and beneficiaries with day‑to‑day trust administration, helping with annual tax returns, registering trusts, and preparing trust tax accounts. Over time, and with guidance from trained professionals, you'll also learn how to advise trustees on their responsibilities. This is an entry‑level role, so you don't need previous experience - full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Job Responsibility:
Support with trust administration, trust registrations and tax returns, as well as personal tax returns
Prepare accounts for clients, including reconciling information, data inputting and managing client relationships
Produce draft tax returns based on the accounts you've prepared
Assist with management accounting tasks
Prepare estate accounts
Work on statutory accounts
Carry out client bank reconciliations
Monitor and work to key deadlines for each assignment
Requirements:
Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and willing to learn new software
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with colleagues and clients
Organised, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
Intelligent, positive, and confident in approaching new tasks
Full UK driving licence (due to the rural office location)
