Job Description:

Risktec Solutions Ltd is looking for talented Graduate Engineers who are graduating or have recently graduated and are passionate about the Nuclear Industry, that are driven to work and learn valuable engineering skills in a dynamic environment. The role will provide invaluable experience of working at an operational nuclear power station, with the aim of you becoming the future engineers in a growing nuclear industry.

Job Responsibility:

  • Site based role at EDF Heysham 2 nuclear power station
  • Join the Engineering Support Team (EST)
  • Provide support to experienced system engineers
  • Increase equipment reliability by monitoring plant trends and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Liaise with stakeholders from various departments, other EDF sites, and third parties
  • Organise and track activities and programme statuses to facilitate delivery goals
  • Report to regulatory and oversight bodies
  • Develop safety case understanding
  • Apply industry best practice
  • Support analysis and decision making of senior EDF personnel

Requirements:

  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Passion for learning and developing understanding and skillset
  • STEM related degree (engineering degree/background preferred)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Preferably experience with Visual Basic (VBA) or other programming languages
  • UK citizen/national
  • Eligible for security clearance
