Job Description

Graduate level Engineer part of site-based Engineering Team at a UK Nuclear Power Station. Gain broad and in-depth understanding of risk management, design, operations and decommissioning within a large generating site.

Job Responsibility

  • Work within project team in Engineering department
  • Active role in Equipment Reliability processes
  • Regular walkdowns of plant to monitor condition
  • Production of Equipment Reliability Reviews including assessment and analysis of data
  • Liaising with other Engineers across the station and fleet
  • Supporting station in maintaining compliance with regulatory frameworks
  • Supporting identification and implementation of changes to operation and maintenance
  • Attending regular meetings with various stakeholders

Requirements

  • Graduating or recently graduated in any Science or Engineering discipline at minimum BEng or BSc level
  • Disciplines considered: Electrical and Electronic Engineering, C&I Control and Instrumentation, Aerospace, Mechanical
  • Engineers where modules have been covered in Nuclear Operations/Engineering
  • Engineers graduated for over 1 year with relevant experience
  • Engineers with HNC, HND qualifications, especially with previous experience in nuclear industry
  • Suitable background to achieve UK security clearance (difficult for non-UK nationals)
  • Excellent interpersonal and written skills
  • Own transport/clean driving license
