Job Description

The Opportunity: One of the UKs biggest and best independent utility network provider is looking for several graduate planning engineers to join them and work out of their Woolpit design office. Job Responsibility

  • Undertake utility demand calculations and design last mile utility networks
  • Preparation of network records using CAD and other systems
  • Apply for connection points for water, gas and electric
  • Liaise with other departments to progress approved networks in the design process
  • Issue data and reports in line with current business requirements
  • Maintain and improve consistent accuracy of data asset records
  • Complete design-based risk assessment and environmental risk assessments

Requirements

  • Have a recognised technical qualification (BEng or BSc degree in a technical / engineering related subject preferred)
  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering backgrounds are particularly useful, as are Geography degrees where some GIS experience has been gained
  • Experience of CAD packages
  • Knowledge of the UK Utilities Market
  • GIS / Mapping Software
