Job Description:

Maintains graduate curriculum in the degree audit system. Creates data integrity and ad-hoc reports (as requested by the campus community) against the student information system in relation to graduation. Develop tools for graduation staff to assist with timely and accurate degree conferral. Given the nature of the positions in Student Engagement & Enrollment Services that provide support to student services and/or student-centered programs, the employee occupying this position may be required to work during a university closing. There may be occasions where the employee will be asked to work during university closings as directed by his or her supervisor. These instances may include working from a remote location (i.e. telework, etc.).

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintains graduate curriculum in the degree audit system

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Exceptional analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and interaction with database tables, views, and forms
  • Ability to write code in a programming context
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cross-functional areas
  • Some experience interpreting and converting requirements to code in a programming context
  • Some experience writing and testing Boolean logic in a programming context
  • Considerable experience interpreting and fulfilling report requests by querying a database using SQL or the query builder in Microsoft Access
  • Some experience using delivered functions in Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Basic experience creating tables, forms, and macros in Microsoft Access
  • Basic experience creating pivot tables in Microsoft Excel
  • Some experience interacting with intra- and interdepartmental colleagues and customers

Nice to have:

  • Some experience working in a higher education setting (especially a registrar’s office)
  • Some experience using Ellucian Banner (especially version 9.0) student information system and Degree Works (especially version 4.1.6) degree audit
  • Some experience with Scribe, VBA, XSL, and CSS
  • Some experience with FERPA
