Binnies part of the RSK Group are looking for Civil Construction Engineers working within our Delivery group on UK Water Framework Projects. As a Civil Site Engineer, you will be taking part in our development programme. You will be a valued member of our highly experienced and widely respected team at Binnies. Job Responsibility:
Undertake site surveys and levelling to establish benchmarks to facilitate accurate setting out
Setting out duties including but not limited to pipelines, earthworks and structures
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure compliance
Work closely with the client, design team, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve issues and ensure successful delivery of the project
Monitor and inspect construction activity to ensure quality requirements and project specifications are met
Create and distribute 4 week lookaheads and report into Section Engineer
Assist the project team in the creation of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and other project documentation in line with Binnies H&S & Quality processes
Maintain accurate record keeping of site tasks, site as site diaries, as-built drawings and minutes of meetings
Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
Experienced in the use of surveying equipment (Total Stations / GPS)
Full UK driving license
Nice to have:
Desire to work proactively towards Incorporated or Chartered membership of the ICE, CIWEM or other equivalent institutions
Desirable experience with the use of CAD or similar software
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Self-motivated and effective team player
Flexible and able to work in multiple locations
