Job Description

Stantec are seeking a talented Civil Engineering Graduate to join our Water Infrastructure team in Brisbane and Melbourne. The Water Infrastructure team works on making sure that everyone gets water to their homes and businesses and ensure all the wastewater is treated and discharged safely back into the water cycle.

Job Responsibility

  • Work on water supply, water storage and water treatment
  • Work on projects involving water and wastewater pipelines, reservoirs, and treatment plant hydraulics, pipework, roads, and stormwater drainage

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
  • Passion for learning and problem-solving
  • Australian Citizen, PR or NZ Citizen
  • Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation

  • Contribute to large-scale, world-class mining projects including tailings, residue and waste storage facilities, water management infrastructure such as spillways, diversion channels and pipelines, and associated mining infrastructure
  • Plan, coordinate and report on field investigation programs (desktop studies, mapping, drilling, sampling and testing)
  • Analyse and design mine waste management facilities using tools such as GeoStudio, Rocscience and in-house software
  • Undertake hydraulic and hydrological modelling (TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, GoldSim)
  • Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities using MS Office and AutoCAD
  • Monitor and supervise bulk earthworks construction and provide on-site technical advice
