This is an excellent opportunity to gain structured training, mentoring and APC support while working on major refurbishment, building safety and remediation projects alongside experienced Chartered Surveyors. The successful Graduate Building Surveyor will work closely with senior surveyors and project teams, supporting the delivery of a wide range of professional and project based instructions. Projects include multi million pound refurbishment schemes, cladding remediation and building safety works across a varied property portfolio. This role offers full APC support and exposure to all core areas of Building Surveying, providing a strong platform for long term career development.
Job Responsibility:
Assisting with building surveys, defect investigations and condition reports
Supporting the preparation of specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
Assisting in the delivery of small scale projects and supporting larger, complex schemes
Contributing to refurbishment, fire safety and cladding remediation projects
Attending client meetings, site inspections and contractor progress meetings
Developing knowledge of building legislation, contracts and the Building Safety Act
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including cost, design and fire specialists
Undertaking general day to day project and administrative duties
Requirements:
RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or close to completion
Strong interest in progressing towards RICS chartership
Good understanding of building construction, materials and maintenance
Awareness of current building regulations and industry standards
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well organised with good attention to detail
Positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn
