A Graduate Assistant is needed to assist the department with teaching/research, event planning, and marketing/recruitment activities. A partial goal of the EKU MPH Program is to develop students into competent Public Health professionals. While the Public Health graduate student may have a basic body of knowledge in Public Health, working as a teaching/lab assistant, tutor, and/or grader in undergraduate courses will reinforce and enhance the graduate student's knowledge while strengthening their written and oral communication skills. Serving as both a tutor and teaching/lab assistant allows graduate students to develop a one-on-one relationship with their students, serving both as a mentor and an instructor, which is also important in developing leadership skills. The enrichment of the mentioned knowledge and skills in the Public Health graduate students is fostered by working with their faculty coordinators in their teaching/lab-related assignments.
