Graduate Analyst Programme. Our client, Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC) is an award-winning social investor; since their launch in 2014, they have committed over £185.5 million to more than 83 organisations across the UK. They look after establishments that provide lasting solutions to social challenges aiming to develop enduring partnerships with the businesses they invest in. Their funds are designed to meet the specific needs of social sector organisations and processes are transparent, flexible, and straightforward. They are now looking for a methodical and professional Graduate Analyst to join their successful and ever-expanding team on a two-year programme. The role will allow you to develop skills in a variety of areas, but you will primarily be a part of the team responsible for developing and managing client lending relationships, taking over responsibility from the Investment team from the point a client loan has been formally agreed. There will be opportunities for wider exposure to Investments, Finance and Operations, Research, and Fundraising throughout the course of the two years.
Job Responsibility:
Data and analytical skills: ensuring accurate data capture on Salesforce of daily loan transactions and credit events
liaising with external Loan Administration to monitor loan balances and payments, and reconcile against expected loan cashflows
Relationship Management and communication: supporting client relationships and developing key stakeholder management skills
Managing clients’ queries/requests and drive resolution of issues relating to client accounts
Credit analysis: Supporting credit team to carry out due diligence and analysis for future loans
Monitoring the financial performance of clients and assisting with quarterly reporting on portfolio clients to investors and other stakeholders by contributing to analysing reports and calculating interest payments
Financial modelling: Updating long term internal Fund models, and assisting with financial reporting and modelling needs
Property acquisition: supporting Portfolio Managers with all aspects of property acquisitions
Helping to maintain high standards of portfolio tracking and reporting across all funds
Research and Data Analysis: Assist with market research and analysis of trends
External training: opportunity to gain external training qualification/accreditation
Requirements:
Strong numeracy skills
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Problem solver with high attention to detail
Methodical, empathetic, resourceful and intellectually curious
Great communication skills – at all levels of financial expertise
Outstanding team player thriving in a busy environment
working on their own initiative
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders’ priorities and deadlines
An interest in social impact investing and supporting social enterprises
a genuine passion for the social sector
Within 2 years of graduation
Nice to have:
Finance, Accounting and/or Business and qualifications advantageous
degrees requiring strong numeracy skills combined with relevant financial services work experience will be also considered
