Job Description

We're looking for a Nurse with GP experience, not with care home or hospital experience, to come and join our Digital Health for Boots Online Doctor. (Please note, this role is for a nurse without prescribing rights). We are Boots Digital Health, providing an online health service that offers treatments for specific health conditions. Our clinical team is made up of Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses and Pharmacy Technicians. We work together to assess and offer advice and treatment to our customers, using online consultation questionnaires to help us do so safely.

Job Responsibility

  • Use our secure IT platform for all patient interactions
  • Respond to patient queries via our online message centre, primarily focusing on Weight Loss initially
  • Follow our guidelines to assist with message content, ensuring correct and suitable advice is given to patients
  • Assist customers with suitable treatment options once trained
  • Conduct telephone or video consultations when needed
  • Use our internal communications system (Slack) to stay connected with the team throughout the working day
  • Attend training events and participate in clinical meetings
  • Maintain your own skills and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a digital or telehealth environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • Registration with NMC (RN - adult)
  • Experience in a range of areas commonly seen in primary care
  • such as dermatology, sexual health, travel, women’s health, men’s health, UTI and weight loss amongst others
  • You will be a confident practitioner, with a wide scope of practice
  • You will be aware of your own limitations and of relevant national guidelines
  • You will have experience of consulting with patients and making independent decisions
  • You will be able to make decisions promptly and know when to ask for help
  • You will have a can-do attitude and be committed to always improving our services
  • You will be a flexible team player who can thrive in our start-up mentality

Nice to have

  • Experience in online consultations or telemedicine
  • Knowledge of digital health technologies
  • Additional qualifications in relevant areas of nursing
