Job Description

A leading healthcare organization in the Nordic region is looking for a Governmental Affairs Manager in Denmark to help shape the future of patient access, healthcare policy, and system-wide collaboration. This is a role for someone who understands that innovation in healthcare is not only about developing great medicines, but also about making sure the right conditions exist for those medicines to reach the people who need them. Sitting at the intersection of public policy, healthcare strategy, and cross-functional business leadership, this position offers the chance to make a visible and meaningful impact in one of the most important healthcare markets in the region. As Governmental Affairs Manager, you will be the person connecting the external healthcare and political environment with the internal priorities of the business. You will monitor policy developments, follow changes across the Danish healthcare system, and identify the external trends, risks, and opportunities that could influence patient pathways, market conditions, and long-term brand performance. Your work will help ensure that strategic decisions are grounded in a strong understanding of the real-world landscape. You will engage with a broad range of stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem, including public institutions, political stakeholders, trade and industry associations, and other key external partners. Success in this role will require strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate complex topics in a way that builds trust and supports long-term collaboration. Rather than simply reacting to change, you will help shape the conversations that influence it. Internally, you will work closely with cross-functional teams across commercial, medical, and market access functions. You will advise colleagues on how policy developments may affect business priorities and help translate external insights into strategies that support both patients and organizational goals. You will also contribute to transformative projects, support franchise teams across major therapy areas, and play a proactive role in helping the business navigate an increasingly complex healthcare environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Monitor policy developments and changes across the Danish healthcare system
  • identify external trends, risks, and opportunities influencing patient pathways, market conditions, and long-term brand performance
  • engage with stakeholders including public institutions, political stakeholders, trade and industry associations, and other external partners
  • advise cross-functional teams on how policy developments affect business priorities
  • translate external insights into strategies supporting patients and organizational goals
  • contribute to transformative projects and support franchise teams across major therapy areas

Requirements

  • Background in public policy, political science, business administration, public health, or a related field
  • meaningful experience in healthcare policy, governmental affairs, or a similar stakeholder-facing role
  • experience working with ministries, parliament, industry associations, or healthcare-related organizations
  • strong communication skills in both English and Danish
  • strategic and analytical capabilities
  • ability to build relationships across complex organizations
