Job Description:

Mach’s Legal Team is seeking a Government Contracts Manager to lead the negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of complex government and related agreements across aerospace and defense industries. This role plays a critical part in supporting program execution, enabling business growth, and ensuring contractual compliance throughout the full contract lifecycle.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage contracts from proposal development through closeout, ensuring accurate execution and documentation
  • Ensure adherence to FAR/DFARS, ITAR, export controls, and other applicable U.S. government regulations
  • Administer contract modifications, amendments, renewals, and extensions aligned with business objectives
  • Support negotiations with government customers, prime contractors, suppliers, and commercial partners
  • Review, draft, and analyze contractual terms to balance risk, compliance, and operational flexibility
  • Identify contractual risks across defense and related programs and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Advise internal teams on rights, obligations, and compliance requirements throughout contract performance
  • Partner closely with program management, supply chain, finance, legal, and engineering teams
  • Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, bids, and RFP responses
  • Develop and refine contract management processes to improve efficiency and compliance
  • Maintain accurate contract records and reporting systems to support audits and internal reviews

Requirements:

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export control regulations
  • Active security clearance or eligibility to obtain a clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in contracts management, preferably within aerospace or defense
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ITAR, and U.S. government contracting principles
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing complex commercial and government agreements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment while managing multiple priorities

  • Active Top Secret clearance
  • 10+ years of experience in contract management across Major Defense Acquisition Programs as well as CSOs, OTAs, SBIRs
  • Experience supporting defense programs or government-funded development efforts
  • Familiarity with long-term automotive or manufacturing supply agreements

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with local Operations and Fleet teams to ensure supply readiness. Coordinate with Public Policy, Legal, Finance, B2B and Product to align resources for contract submission and delivery. Provide structured feedback to Product on features or gaps arising from government contracts
  • Organisation: Competition intel - Set up internal processes to collect, aggregate and analyse competition intel and make operational decisions based on that in order to create a competitive pricing offering. Product development - Aggregate product feedback into clear overviews of gaps and share with the organization. Internal collaboration - Clearly see and promote the "bigger picture" of Bolt, not only your own market or business vertical. Find collaborative solutions instead of pushing your own views through.
