About the role: As a Governance Adviser, you’ll sit at the heart of the CFO & Strategy division, working closely with subject matter experts and senior stakeholders to design, embed and evolve Aurizon’s enterprise governance framework. You’ll balance risk, compliance and practicality—making governance work for the business, not against it.

Job Responsibility:

  • Building and maintaining a simplified, risk‑based procurement governance framework
  • Supporting the delivery of Enterprise ESG initiatives, ensuring governance alignment and compliance
  • Managing and administering the procurement Source‑to‑Contract solution, supporting effective governance and controls
  • Supporting policies, standards and procedures from design through to implementation
  • Driving compliance insights and reporting across the second line of defence
  • Translating complex governance, risk and compliance requirements into clear, practical and usable guidance
  • Championing continuous improvement, change and capability uplift across the business

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification and experience in governance, risk, assurance or compliance
