Job Description:

The Gourmet Coffee Attendant is responsible for completing opening and closing duties, setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. They will take orders, prepare food and coffee beverages, ensure appliances are turned on/off at the appropriate times, and maintain cleanliness throughout the day. The attendant will also follow all company and safety policies, report any unsafe conditions, and ensure a professional appearance. They will welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address service needs, and maintain positive working relationships with others.

Job Responsibility:

Complete opening and closing duties
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Input orders into cash register system and collect payment
Take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages
Ensure appliances are turned on/off at appropriate times
Bus coffee cart areas and tables
Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment
Obtain change required for expected business level
Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
Protect company assets
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Assist individuals with disabilities
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
