Job Description

As part of the team, you will deliver training sessions for students at different levels and across a number of subject areas and disciplines, both virtually and in-person. You will work closely with the Lead Trainers to advise and support on content development for courses, bringing initiative and a constant awareness of recent developments in Cloud technology and related tools and frameworks. This includes liaising with other internal teams, e.g. Account Management, and customising courses to suit our clients’ specific needs. Reporting directly to one of the Lead Trainers, this role will be critical in supporting and nurturing our continued business growth - it offers the opportunity to have a real impact on the trajectory of the Academy.

Job Responsibility

  • Delivering training sessions both virtually and in-person to groups of students
  • Creating training materials for students at multiple levels and across multiple subject areas
  • Providing one-on-one coaching and support to students in between sessions (e.g. Office hours)
  • Coordinating with other teams (especially Account Management) and clients to customise course content
  • Occasionally aiding Sales teams in scoping calls to identify customer requirements’ for training

Requirements

  • Google Cloud Authorised Trainer certification
  • UK based and willing to travel for in-person deliveries
  • 2+ years’ experience working as a trainer or teacher delivering B2B training to technical and business audiences
  • Active Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer and/or Professional Data Engineer certification
  • Experience delivering group training sessions (virtual and/or in-person)
  • A detailed awareness of modern cloud-native infrastructure principles
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - written and verbal
  • A personable approach and adaptable communication style
  • Incredible attention to detail and a passion for presenting information in the most effective way
  • A logical, methodical but flexible mindset
  • Passion for Google Cloud technologies and Data+AI in general
  • Commitment to delivering value to students and clients

  • Support the Training Operations Manager and Customer Training Lead on running the day-to-day operations of the Academy in AMER and EMEA
  • Manage training logistics such as sending our calendar invitations, setting up virtual classrooms, updating trainer schedules and gathering class feedback
  • Keep in regular communication with our in-house trainers and training partners (contractors) and ensure that they are prepared for upcoming deliveries
  • Following up with customers post delivery to ensure they found the training valuable and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Monitor class feedback on a regular basis and share insights with the instructors and the wider ops team
  • Organise and facilitate training scoping calls with primarily AMER customers and occasionally EMEA customers
  • Run customer kick off calls in partnership with our consultants and training partners
  • Compile the necessary data for our Finance team's month-end billing process
  • Identify processes inefficiencies and suggest improvements
