Job Responsibility

  • Under guidance of the Head OPDA and in collaboration with other OPDA team members build, and manage scalable GCP solutions, utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools, ensuring availability, performance, security, and cost-effective use of cloud resources
  • Ensure that all GCP solutions are aligned with established security standards
  • Use and manage DevOps toolchains, including administration of code repositories and design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
  • Administer and maintain Linux-based systems hosted in cloud and hybrid environments, including system configuration, patching, performance tuning, and security hardening
  • Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with platform standards
  • Collaborate closely with other team members by providing technical input to migration planning, validating technical designs, and supporting the implementation of transition activities related to cloud and platform services
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration standards, operational procedures, and runbooks
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes for cloud and platform services, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant IT experience, including significant experience supporting Google cloud services
  • Experience in application modernization techniques, including containerization, APIs, and microservices, to help modernize and scale applications on GCP
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, leveraging tools like GitLab, or to automate infrastructure deployment and integration processes
  • Experience in managing Linux systems and configuration management tools like Ansible for consistent, automated deployments
  • First university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Nice to have

  • Expertise in automation tools such as Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Experience with cloud security best practices, such as implementing identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks across cloud environments
  • Experience in managing RDBMS databases, including configuration, maintenance, and performance considerations
  • Solid understanding of ITIL service management practices and methodologies, ensuring alignment with industry standards for service delivery and support
  • Strong customer interaction skills, with the ability to assess and gather customer requirements, evaluate options, and propose optimal solutions that meet business and technical needs
  • Certification in Google Cloud Service
  • ITIL certification
