Job Description

We're looking for a proactive and detail-focused Goods In & Stock Controller to join our Brook Road operation in Waltham Cross. This is more than a goods-in role. You'll be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy across the site, ensuring inventory is correctly booked, controlled and available to support customer demand. Working at the heart of a fast-paced chilled food operation, you'll play a key role in managing stock movements, date-code control, returns, waste and inventory integrity.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and control the goods-in process, ensuring all deliveries are checked and booked accurately
  • Maintain high levels of stock accuracy across warehouse systems and physical inventory
  • Conduct regular stock counts and investigate stock discrepancies
  • Control stock rotation and date-code management to support product availability and minimise waste
  • Manage returns, quarantine stock and waste processes
  • Ensure all stock movements, transfers and adjustments are accurately recorded
  • Work closely with warehouse, purchasing and operational teams to support customer service and stock availability
  • Identify opportunities to improve stock control processes and operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, goods in or warehouse operations
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems (M3 experience desirable)
  • Ability to investigate and resolve stock issues effectively
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experience within a food, chilled or FMCG environment would be advantageous
  • FLT or PPT experience would be beneficial but is not essential
