Job Description

Hands-on Stores & Dispatch role within a precision engineering workshop. The Goods In Administrator will be responsible for ensuring materials and finished machined components are processed efficiently through the workshop and dispatched correctly to customers and subcontractors. This role is approximately 80% packaging and dispatch focused, alongside goods receipt and some purchasing support.

Job Responsibility

  • Receiving deliveries into the workshop and booking onto the ERP system
  • Allocating materials and components to the correct locations
  • Packaging precision machined components ready for dispatch
  • Coordinating goods out and arranging shipments
  • Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers
  • Supporting stock control and workshop consumables management
  • Working closely with engineers and inspection teams

Requirements

  • Experience in goods in / goods out, stores or stock control
  • Comfortable handling and packaging precision machined parts
  • Good IT skills (ERP/MRP systems preferred)
  • Experience raising purchase orders or dealing with suppliers (advantageous)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
