Job Description:

The Golf Pro-Apprentice at JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort will provide exceptional customer service, manage golf shop operations, and teach golf lessons in accordance with PGA/LPGA standards. Responsibilities include assisting guests, maintaining golf-related areas, and supporting the team while upholding Marriott’s hospitality promise.

Job Responsibility:

Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services
answer golfer questions about the course
promote and sell golf shop merchandise
open/close golf shop daily
collect all golf-related fees
count, prepare, and deposit cash
run closing reports off the registers
schedule tee times for golfers
communicate with golf services and grounds staff about changes
maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas
ensure accuracy of daily totals
stock, tag, and display merchandise
notify manager of any important issues
teach individual and group golf lessons in accordance with standards
follow company policies and procedures
report accidents or unsafe work conditions
maintain a professional and clean appearance
build positive working relationships with colleagues

Requirements:

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 2 years of related work experience
golf skills
