Job Description:

Seeking an energetic leader who will be responsible for maintaining The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and leading the golf grounds team in day to day operations. This person will be part of a dynamic and successful team. Must be able to work outdoors in sun and rain. Your role will be to ensure that the 'Gold Standards' of The Ritz-Carlton are delivered graciously and thoughtfully every day.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for maintaining The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club
  • Leading the golf grounds team in day to day operations
  • Must be able to work outdoors in sun and rain
  • Ensure that the 'Gold Standards' of The Ritz-Carlton are delivered graciously and thoughtfully every day

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related major
  • 5 years experience as a Golf Course Superintendent at a Luxury Tier Golf Course
  • 3+ years experience with Reverse Osmosis system and maintaining Paspalum turf
  • Horticultural knowledge and landscaping skills
  • Knowledge of turf lawn care and maintenance procedures with emphasis on golf turf grass varieties
  • Knowledge of irrigation controls and pumping systems
  • Understanding the application of fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides
  • Understanding of the game of golf
  • Past supervisory experience of day to day operations of a golf grounds department
  • Manages parts, supplies, and equipment inventories within budget
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and safety standards (OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)
  • Knowledge of overall golf club operations as they affect golf grounds landscaping
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain records and daily log as required
