At least 3 years of golf maintenance leadership experience
4 years of well-rounded golf course experience
A minimum two-year turf certificate in turf grass management from a recognized college or university
Certified pesticide applicator in the state of Arizona or the ability to obtain upon hire
Must have a valid driver's license

Job Responsibility

Plan and schedule maintenance of golf courses’ equipment and team members to optimum efficiency
Supervise the progress of the Assistant Superintendents
Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and motorized equipment used on the golf course
Supervise the operation of an equipment repair shop
Design, plan, and instruct equipment operators in the operation and care of mowing and other equipment
Supervise and participate in the operation and maintenance of pumps and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems
Assist the Superintendent in keeping records of annual maintenance activities, including but not limited to
chemical and fertilizer applications as required by law
Budget, plan, and direct the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of motorized and mechanical equipment
Assist Superintendent in irrigation, lake transfer, and systems/programs

Oversight of all activities at DeBell Golf Club on a day-to-day basis
Hiring, training, and ongoing support of the department head staff consisting of the course Superintendent, Golf Professionals, Merchandise Manager, Food & Beverage leadership staff, Bookkeeper, and other key staff members
Lead weekly department head meetings, periodic department meetings, and annual all staff meetings
Oversee the hiring and training of all frontline staff members to ensure a superior level of guest service throughout the facility
Create and implement systems to ensure consistent execution of a first class experience on a day to day basis
Provide appropriate leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to staff in accord with KemperSports expectations and company culture to promote positive employee morale and performance quality
Direct, coordinate and monitor the development of the facility’s annual business plan and operating/capital budgets
Monitor and evaluate financial performance relative to budget goals and objectives
Analyze budget variances, develop and implement action plans to achieve appropriate business adjustments
