Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Golf Course Marshall to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.
Job Responsibility
Overseeing the daily operation and maintenance of the golf course, driving range, snack shop, and pro-shop
Scheduling and coordinating tee times, tournaments, and special events to maximize the use of the golf facilities
Developing and implementing policies and procedures in compliance with CNICINST 1710.3 Chapter 20 Sections 2004 and 2008
Ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and readiness of facilities and grounds
Supervising, training, and scheduling staff to ensure smooth operations across all areas of the facility
Monitoring staff performance and providing guidance to ensure excellent service delivery
Creating a positive work environment to enhance team productivity and customer satisfaction
Managing the daily operations of the snack shop and pro-shop, ensuring inventory control and proper stock levels
Ensuring high standards of customer service, addressing customer needs, and resolving concerns promptly
Coordinating food and beverage services to provide a quality experience for golfers and other visitors
Ensuring the golf course and driving range are maintained to meet required standards for appearance and playability
Implementing maintenance schedules for equipment, grounds, and facilities
Overseeing the procurement and management of supplies and materials necessary for course operations and maintenance
Requirements
At least three (3) years of experience in operating or maintaining a golf facility that included a golf course, driving range, snack shop, and pro-shop
Training and certification in accordance with CNICINST 1710.3 Chapter 20 Sections 2004 and 2008
Strong operational knowledge of golf course management, including customer service, maintenance, and retail infrastructure
Demonstrated experience in supervising teams and managing daily operations
Excellent communication and customer service skills to ensure a professional and welcoming experience for patrons
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance for the duration of deployment
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
Nice to have
Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce
Valid country driver’s license
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)
Familiarity with managing recreational programs and services for military or government facilities
Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and groundskeeping tasks
Experience managing one or more areas of retail food and beverage services at a golf facility
