Job Description:

As a GNC Engineer IV, you will specialize in applying AI and machine learning techniques to guidance, navigation, and control systems within our autonomous robotics platforms. In this role you will build on the foundation of our general AI Applications with a deeper focus on vehicle dynamics, real time behavior, and precision control. You will develop intelligent GNC algorithms, integrate AI models into dynamic vehicle systems, and work closely with robotics teams to deliver high performance autonomous capabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop AI driven guidance, navigation, and control algorithms that enhance autonomy, stability, and decision making for robotic vehicles
  • Integrate machine learning models with vehicle dynamics, sensor systems, and simulation environments to ensure realistic and reliable behavior
  • Embed AI based GNC capabilities into software products and platform level services while ensuring compatibility with perception, planning, and control modules
  • Convert trained models into production ready components such as services, APIs, or embedded libraries tailored for GNC use cases
  • Tune algorithms and models for real time performance, low latency, and reliability in safety critical robotics environments
  • Collaborate closely with robotics engineers, controls specialists, data scientists, and software developers to align model behavior with system requirements
  • Test and validate AI based GNC systems using simulation, hardware in the loop setups, and field testing to ensure accuracy, robustness, and predictable performance
  • Monitor deployed systems and refine algorithms, models, and tuning parameters to continuously improve control quality and autonomous performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience as a GNC Engineer designing controls and localization algorithms, writing proposals, taking detailed documentation, and utilizing programming languages such as Python, C++, C, or ROS
  • Experience developing and deploying AI or machine learning models for robotics, controls, or dynamic systems
  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, data modeling, and model deployment workflows
  • Solid foundation in control theory, vehicle dynamics, navigation algorithms, or related GNC domains
  • Hands on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
  • Experience integrating models into real-time or near real-time systems and tuning for latency and performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to translate system behavior into technical solutions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary engineering teams and communicate technical concepts clearly
